Terms of Business

 

All our of equipment will be supplied to you in good working condition and will have suitable certification for the purpose that they are being used. Vessels will carry VHF Radios, Perry Buoys, Ropes and First Aid Kits. The crew will be both competent and qualified as necessary and the crew accommodation will be included in the day rate unless otherwise stated.

 

Hire of the Equipment will commence from day of arrival on site to day of departure from site.

 

Definition of Site – The site shall be the place that the Barge is mobilised from the lorry transport and demobilised back to lorry transport for onward shipment to Howard Marine's Quay, Plymouth.

 

Howard Marine will make the assumption when providing you with a Quotation that the location given to us by you the client is a suitable Haven for the mobilisation of the Jack-up Barge referred to in the Quotation.

 

Definition of suitable Haven – This should ideally be a Harbour with a Quay wall that can support in excess of 75 tonnes to its edge, providing smooth water protected from open sea, have suitable ladders for access and sufficient lay-down area for assembly.

 

Please note, the actual time of arrival and departure of the Equipment and associated equipment will depend on the availability of transport at the time of the Contract. We always endeavour to arrive on the required date but inevitably for logistical reasons the equipment may arrive either side of the required date particularly where weekends are close the the required date.

 

It is our normal practice for all fuel, Harbour dues, cranage and pilotage costs to be charged to your account unless otherwise agreed.

 

All quotations are subject to availability of plant and our standard minimum hire is 7 days.
